  • We only collect the details we need to plan your dog's trip and reply to you.

  • We never sell your details, and we only share them with travel partners when that's needed to arrange your trip.

  • Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted after 12 months.

  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time by emailing contact@dogsandtales.com.

What we collect

When you fill in our pet travel form

  • Your name and email address

  • Your travel start and end dates

  • The countries you are travelling from and to

  • Whether your dog's rabies vaccination is up to date

When you email or message us

Your name, contact details and anything you choose to tell us, such as your dog's breed, age, size, health or travel documents.

When you sign up to our newsletter

Your email address.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it in these cases:

  • Travel partners: when you go ahead with a trip, we may need to share relevant details with airlines, pet transport companies, vets or pet-friendly accommodation to arrange it. We'll tell you before we do.

  • Services we use to run Dogs & Tales: Google (Gmail, Google Forms and Google Sheets) to receive and store enquiries, and Squarespace to host our website and newsletter. They only process your information on our behalf.

  • When the law requires it: for example, if a public authority makes a lawful request.

Your rights

Under data protection law (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you

  • Ask us to correct anything that's wrong

  • Ask us to delete your information

  • Ask us to limit how we use it, or object to us using it

  • Ask us to send your information to you or another organisation in a common format

  • Withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from our newsletter
